Updating or uninstalling your Paglo Crawler

Automatic Crawler updates
If you configured your Paglo Crawler to start when your computer starts, it will automatically check for updates at that time and open the Updater window if updates are available. You can also check for updates manually at any time.
To respond to the automatic Crawler Updater:
- In the Found Updates for Crawler window, select an option, and click Next:
- If you choose Download and install now, proceed to Updating your Crawler.

Checking manually for updates
You can check for updates manually at any time.
To check for Crawler updates manually:
- From the Start menu, click All Programs.
- In the list, click Paglo => Paglo Crawler => Paglo Updater:
- If updates exist, proceed to Updating your Crawler.

Updating your Crawler
After the updating process begins, the wizard automatically checks for and cleans up the previous version, downloads the selected version, and installs it based on the configuration of the previous version. You can pause or cancel the wizard during the process.
To proceed through the Update wizard:
- In the Choose Updates to Install window, select a version, and click Next:
- If you see the following message, just click OK to proceed:

- In the Downloading Updates window, wait as the process completes, and then click Next:
- In the Installing Updates window, click Finish:
- In the Update window, click Next:
- When the files have finished downloading, click Next:
- Paglo applies the original settings to the new version of your Crawler. When the installation process is complete, click Finish:







Note: Sometimes two Crawler icons
appear briefly in the lower right corner after updating. The
extra icon disappears when you hover your cursor overhead.
Uninstalling your Crawler
To uninstall your Crawler:
- From the Start menu, click All Programs.
- In the list, click Paglo => Paglo Crawler => Uninstall:
- On the Uninstall Paglo Crawler page, click Uninstall:
- Wait as the Crawler deletes files:
- When the uninstall process is complete, click Close:




The Crawler icon disappears from the system tray. Note that you can no longer upgrade.
Note: The uninstall process leaves some files intact. You may want to manually delete these to completely remove the Paglo Crawler from your system. By default, the files are at: C:\Program Files\Paglo\Paglo Crawler. If you do, however, you cannot update. You will have to download a new Crawler, and install and configure it like you did the first time:
