Developers

Paglo developer tools

To access Paglo's developer tools, click the Developers link at the bottom of any page of your Paglo Web account.

Paglo provides the following developer tools:

  • Paglo Navigator — Navigate the entire tree in your Search Index.
  • Add to Index tab — Add data to your Search Index by pasting the text directly into the Add to Index box, and clicking Index Data. Expect a slight time lag as Paglo processes the data. Then you can use the Search field to search it.
  • Query Sandbox tab — Enter temporary data and test-run searches and PQL statements against it. The temporary database is erased when you leave or reset this page.
  • Ontology tab — Displays the organization of all the information in your database. It does not include information that your Crawler has not collected. It can, however, include data that you manually entered. This data is specific to your company. It is never combined with or affected by data from other companies. As such, the above screenshot represents a slice of one database, and not necessarily how any other database is organized.
  • Search Template Tester tab — Use the Search Template Tester to construct template input requests and examine sample results.

Paglo Navigator

Use the Paglo Navigator to navigate the entire tree in your Search Index.

  1. Click the Developers link at the bottom of any page in your Paglo Web account to access Developers Tools.
  2. On the Developers Tools page under Paglo Navigator, click the here link.
  3. In the Paglo Navigator page, click items in each column that you want to explore. For example:

    • In the second column, click a device, which reveals a list of properties of that device.
    • In the third column, click a property of the device, such as Interface.
    • In the fourth column, you can see the properties, which might be IP or MAC addresses, name, type, and so on.

Add to Index

Use the Add to Index tab to add data to your Search Index. There will be a slight time lag as Paglo processes the data. Then you can use the Search field to search it.

  1. Click the Developers link at the bottom of any page in your Paglo Web account to access Developers Tools.
  2. On the Add to Index tab in the Title field, type a name to distinguish this text.
  3. In the Content field, paste the text you want to add.
  4. Click Index Data to send the data to your Search Index.
Expect a slight time lag as Paglo processes the new data.
